Installing Brooktrout TR114 and TR1034 Fax Boards Together

This section describes the steps required to install Brooktrout TR114 and TR1034 fax boards on the same computer with ExtraFax server, together with some hints for troubleshooting.

Installation
At the time of writing this article, Brooktrout 4.3 PnP driver is the latest version of Brooktrout T114 (TruFax Analog) driver posted on the Download page of Extracomm website, which can be downloaded with the following link:

At the time of writing this article, Brooktrout 4.9.1 PnP driver is the latest version of Brooktrout TR1034 (TruFax BRI) driver posted on the Download page of Extracomm website, which can be downloaded with the following link:

Please follow the special instructions as mentioned in the following FAQ on Extracomm website to install the Brooktrout drivers and ExtraFax server:

! Since the driver version and setup instruction may update occasionally, it is better to check for the latest information from the Extracomm Download page and Product Documentation page before starting installation.

Troubleshooting

• Fax channel does not start up properly...
  • Verify whether the problem is related to TR114 fax channels and/or TR1034 fax channels.
  • Check whether any ExtraFax error messages show on the Domino / ExtraFax consoles.
  • Shut down ExtraFax server, and then test your fax board with Brooktrout Fax Diagnostic Test Program.

• Fax channel has started up properly, but fails in sending or receiving faxes...
  • Verify whether the problem is related to TR114 fax channels and/or TR1034 fax channels.
  • Check whether any ExtraFax error messages show on the Domino / ExtraFax consoles.
  • Enable ExtraFax Detail Trace Log feature. For details, please refer to the "Enable ExtraFax Detail Trace Log" section in this Installation Guide.
  • Try searching for a solution from ExtraFax FAQ section and Support Forum.
  • Shut down ExtraFax server, and then test your fax board with Brooktrout Fax Diagnostic Test Program.
