ExtraFax Security - Creating an Access Numbers Table to restrict use of certain Fax numbers

There may be situations where you would like to identify for all ExtraFax server users or specific individual users, restrictions in terms of fax numbers that they are permitted to send to. To do this, you can create an Access Number Table, where you can define a list of Permitted and/or Blocked fax numbers.

Fax numbers can be restricted at two levels:

• Server Wide - Specified Fax number will be blocked for all users on that ExtraFax server. No one will be permitted to send faxes to that number.
• Individual User(s) - Specified Fax number will be restricted for the specified individual(s). Those individuals will be restricted to send faxes to that number. Groups cannot be used in this case. Individuals must be explicitly listed.

To configure ExtraFax, follow the steps outlined below.

Access Numbers Table

1. Open the ExtraFax Post Office database.
2. Switch to the Server Administration>>Access Numbers view.
3. Edit an existing Access Numbers Table or create a new Access Numbers Table document if none exists.
4. The following table describes the fields defined in the Access Numbers Table document.

Fields Descriptions User Name/Server Name: Server Wide: Enter the full hierarchical name of the Domino Server ID where ExtraFax is installed e.g. FaxServer1/Extracomm. Rule will apply to the entire ExtraFax server. Individual User(s) - Specified Fax number will be permitted/blocked for the specified individual(s). Groups cannot be used in this case. Individuals must be explicitly listed. Please note that the user name must match the name in the From field of the fax message received by ExtraFax. Permitted Fax Numbers: The list of fax numbers that will be permitted. Blocked Out Fax Numbers: The list of fax numbers that will be restricted. Below are some examples of fax number formats that are supported: Local call e.g. 688-6718 Long distance call e.g. 1-604-688-6718 International call e.g. (011)63046886718

In the above example, John Smith/Thunder will be restricted from sending faxes to 497-254-5425
